Royal family scion alleges neglect by Cong leadership

Senior Congress leader and seven times MLA, Raja Mahendra Bahadur Singh has alleged negligence of him by the State Congress leadership here.

Singh, however said that, he was born to serve in the Congress party and at present finds no place other than it.

In an interview to a private electronic news channel,  Singh, who hails from royal family of Saraipali said it is true that the Congress party was neglecting the royal families. “Neither anyone meets me nor I am called in important meetings”, he charged.

To a question that the scion of royal family of Khairagarh and former MP Devvrat Singh recently left the Congress party alleging negligence and was the same treatment being meted out to him in the party, the Congress leader said it was true that the members of royal families and senior leaders of the party are being neglected in the party.

Further, to a question whether he will join any other political party, Singh remained mum and only reiterated that he was in the Congress party since long and was distressed because of the negligence by the party. “If they (Congress leaders) will not give prominence to us, where should we go”, he further added.

Singh said the leadership in the Congress party should have to be strong and this is not seen at present.

He further said that if the present situation continues, no one can stop Congress party from another defeat in coming Assembly polls in the State later this year. The present scenario in the Congress party is hinting that the situation in the coming Assembly polls would worsen, he said.
