Hutchinson High School's head football and track coach Ryan Cornelson has taken a job with another school and will leave at the end of the current school year.
Cornelson announced the news to the football team Wednesday. Hutchinson USD 308 subsequently issued a press release.
Cornelson coached at the Hutchinson school for four seasons, making it to the state title football game his first year. The boys' track team won the state championship in 2017.
The search for his successor begins immediately, according to HHS Athletic Director Kevin Armstrong.
