Susan J. Pangrac, 72, passed away on Dec. 26, 2017
Susan Jean (Patterson) Pangrac, 72, of Augusta, Kan. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 at home. Celebration of Life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 at Wichita Collegiate Upper School, Galichia Auditorium. Private Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery Niles, Kan. Susan was born in Long Beach, Calif. on March 5, 1945 to the late Pauline (Craig) and Joseph "Bud" Patterson. She lived most of her life in Butler County, growing up in Leon and living her adult life in Augusta. She had two BS degrees in Early Childhood Education and in Elementary Education from Friends University. Her career spanned 42 years in education as the owner of her own preschool and as an instructor at Wichita Collegiate School and adjunct instructor at Butler Community College. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane and her brother, Bob Patterson. She is survived by: sons, Joel Pangrac of Augusta, Kan., Layne Pangrac and wife Deborah of Kansas City, Mo. and Lale Capps of Beaumont, Texas; brother, Dave Patterson of Wichita, Kan.; brother, Phillip Patterson and wife Betty of Salem, Ore.; granddaughters, Rachel Pangrac of Wichita, Kan., and Bailey Pangrac of Augusta, Kan., grandson, Joshua Capps of Beaumont, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wichita Collegiate School.
