I almost dropped my pills and prune juice as I read “Datelines” in The Hawk Eye Dec. 20.

It seems a Catholic priest decided to announce to the world his coming out gayful-ness to a crowd of well-wishing parishioners that even further encouraged him with “a standing ovation.” Well, hallelujah.

Oh my God. Are you kidding me? A Catholic priest? The last time I checked, the Book of Leviticus in the Bible said homosexual activity (and I’m sure women are included) is an abomination in the eyes of God.

But if you know your Bible at all, somewhere down the road, being heterosexual could be dangerous. Oh, I forgot. For a few moments there I got carried away. It’s 2017. My bad.
