Hannity is a strong supporter of Trump and during his show often defends the president and his actions.

He has focused on what he calls an effort to "destroy Trump fake news media" during many nights on his Fox News program, particularly during his opening monologues.

Trump is known to frequently watch Fox News and often tweets about stories he sees on "Fox & Friends."

Trump regularly refers to the media as fake news and rails against networks and reporters. Earlier this week, he said he would be announcing next week "THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR."
