BNP seeks DMP permission for Jan 5 rally

BNP today sought permission of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) for holding a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan tomorrow marking the 4th anniversary of 2014 general elections as “democracy killing day”.

A three member delegation -- Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Abdus Salam and Abul Khoyer Bhuiyan – reached the DMP office at 2:45pm and sought the permission, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, told The Daily Star.
