Winter Storm Grayson path: Where is the storm now? Winter snow storm in USA tracked
WINTER Storm Grayson has struck the USA with a bone-chilling winter snow storm and freezing temperatures as it makes its way up the East Coast. But where is Storm Grayson now and where is the winter snow storm heading?
Winter Storm Grayson’s track began on Wednesday as snow hit the southern states with humid subtropical climates - a rarity in the region.
The winter snow storm blasted Florida with a mess of snow, sleet and freezing rain, as temperatures continue to plummet.
The massive winter storm system, dubbed a "winter hurricane" or "bomb cyclone,” has moved through the coast of Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina, before it is due to slam New England later on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the winter snow storm is currently in Maryland, Kent County, and in Delaware, New Castle county.
Heavy snow and stormy conditions will head northwards towards New York City, worsening as it reaches Boston, Portland, Bangor and up to Caribou on the Canadian border.
The heaviest snow is expected in eastern New England, where a foot or more is possible.

“Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially on Friday.
“The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.”
Coastal cities in Winter Storm Grayson’s path are expected to bear the brunt of the storm, with strong coastal winds, and several coastal flood warnings in place.

As Winter Storm Grayson continues to track toward Maine on Thursday, blizzard conditions are expected from Portland along the coast and inland, where travel “will be very dangerous to impossible,” warns the National Weather Service.
New York City and southern Connecticut will see heavy snow into Thursday evening while Boston will see up to potentially 14 inches of snow, and also has a Coastal Flood Warning in effect.
Tallahassee, in Florida, has been coated with snow for the first time in 28 years as six inches fell in Ellabel, Georgia.
While Charleston International Airport has showered with more than five inches of snow on Wednesday, the third-heaviest one-day snowfall on record in the region.
The NWS has warned of the storm’s intensity and strong winds that can result in downed trees, power outages, and coastal flooding.
Winds are expected to reach over 50 miles per hour along the coastline and 60 to 70 miles per hour on Cape Cod and the Massachusetts islands.
And temperatures could see lows of -28 Celsius, as New York mayor Bill de Blasio warned citizens to take cover.
He said: “We expect by the end of Friday going into the evening Friday the windchill, including the windchill, will be at negative 28 Celsius. I want everyone to hear that loud and clear, for Friday evening including windchill we’re projecting the effective temperature of negative 28 Celsius in New York City.
“Everyone needs to take that very, very seriously. The wind conditions are going to make travel hard as well. We do expect intense wind gusts.

The shockingly cold temperatures will plague the US with figures lower than Mars - the red planet’s highest temperature sat at minus 18.8 Celsius.
And the combination of chilling temperatures and the “bomb cyclone” will make for a particularly harsh weather event.
The “bomb cyclone,” known as a bombogenesis, “occurs when a
