The second session of the day repeats the same old story for England. With the first session of the match being washed away by the rain, Mark Stoneman and Alastair Cook gave a solid start to the Three Lions. While Stoneman started as the aggressor, Cook took it slow in the beginning. But Cummins sent Stoneman back to the pavilion as England lost their first wicket with just 28 runs on the board. Cook and James Vince settled England after the early wicket but once again England failed to build a strong partnership as Cummins got the wicket of James Vince, his second victim of the day. But the biggest joy for Australia came when Josh Hazlewood rapped Alastair Cook on the pads on 39. A huge appeal from Australia was turned down by the umpire, but Steve Smith was quick to call for a review which showed that it was a plumb. Joe Root and Dawid Malan ensured they do not lose any more wicket and took England to 122/3 Tea.
