Relief for vehicle owners

JAIPUR: The transport department on Wednesday issued directions that owners of the vehicle who have not yet obtained the pollution control certificate can do so in a phase-wise manner. The transport department said that vehicles with registration number series between 1 and 2,000 have to get there certificates by February 15. The vehicles with registration number from 2001 to 5,000 have a last opportunity for pollution certificate till April 15. Vehicles with registration between 5,001 to 9,399 must get their certificates till July.
Transport commissioner SK Agarwal said that so far six lakhs vehicles have got their pollution certificate and about 14 lakhs have been still been left.
