Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) officially listed online, launch could be in few weeks

The entry-level Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) has surfaced on Russia's official website ahead of its launch. It will sport a 5-inch AMOLED display and powered by an entry-level processor.

The 2018 version of the Samsung Galaxy J2 has surfaced on Samsung’s official website in Russia. It was earlier spotted on a Russian e-commerce store with leaked renders showing a case designed for the smartphone. The renders reveal the Galaxy J2 will retain the design of its predecessor.

The Galaxy J2Where to buy 130 198 499 (2018) will sport a physical home button flanked by two capacitive keys on both sides. A front LED flash has also been spotted on the top while on the bottom, the renders show the phone will sport a Micro-USB port and a speaker. On the back will be the speaker grill and the primary camera with an LED flash.

The listing also reveal the J2Where to buy 130 198 499 will be available in quite a few colour variants including black, blue, coral, gold and pink.

Earlier, the listing had revealed the phone will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset along with 1.5GB of RAM, featuring a 5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and an 8-megapixel camera at the back, alongside a 5-megapixel camera at the front.

As for the price, the listing indicates the Galaxy J2Where to buy 130 198 499(2018) could be priced at RUB 7,990 (approximately Rs 8,860). It’s likely the price in India will be lower as the 2017 Galaxy J2 launched for a price of Rs 7,390.

This has sparked off rumours that the phone could be available in Russia and other emerging markets in a few weeks.
