With the song “Honestly,” the New York-based alt.-rock band Foreign Trees reveals a feel for making music that’s both musically frenetic and emotionally raw. The song is steeped in a strange sort of desperation, which balances out the lyrics' more saccharine notes. It’s hard to extrapolate much from one song, but it’s certainly promising.
