Oman- Over 23,000 registered to vote at OCCI elections

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Elections Committee pointed out that the number of voters who registered for OCCI elections for the 2018-22 term from December 17 to 28, 2017 was 23,505.

Of them 6,332 were from the Governorate of Dhofar, 4,392 from Muscat, 4,152 from North Batinah, 2,218 from North Sharqiyah, 2,073 from South Batinah, 1,268 from South Sharqiyah, 861 from Buraimi, 755 from Musandam, 694 from Dhahirah, 487 from Dakhliyah and 273 from Al Wusta.

The initial list of voters was published on OCCI website www.chamberoman.om last week.

The committee had pointed out that people can object to the initial list of voters within three days as per the provision of article 12 of the Ministerial Decision No 225/2017. The objection had to be submitted to the Appeals Committee using the form designated for this purpose.
