Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday heard the grievances of villagers of as many as eight development blocks of the State via the 'e-Jandarshan' programme here.
The development blocks were -Jashpur, Manora, Farsabahar, Dhuldhula, Baghicha, Pathalgaon, Kansabel and Kunkhuri, officials informed.
Singh during the programme, called upon the villagers not to hesitate and be free to express their views on any issue.
He solved many of the grievances on the spot.
A total of 400 citizens took part in 'e-Jandarshan'.
About 222 citizens from Jashpur district had attended the conventional 'Jandarshan' during the past one year in the capital. But in today's 'e-Jandarshan' about 400 citizens participated.
Singh spoke to 45 citizens from the eight Janpad panchayats. Rest of the complaints were registered.
The Chief Minister assured the gathering that grievances will be redressed soon.
It may be mentioned here that all the 146 Janpad panchayats have been up linked with Mantralaya and Chief Minister's official residence.
Singh had his first video contact with citizens of tribal-dominated Jashpur district.
Notably, 'Jandarshan' is a platform where masses can have direct conversation with the Chief Minister. It takes 12 hours travel (400 km) from Jashpur to Raipur.
The State Government had decided to launch 'e-Jandarshan' to have direct contact with the masses in the far-flung regions of the State.
Singh also had conversation with members of Jashpur Janpad panchayat.
He spoke to Ms Sitabai resident of village Salhekhera .The Chief Minister enquired about her well-being and the conditions prevailing in the village.
Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand, Electronics and Information Technology Department Principal Secretary Aman Kumar Singh and several senior officers were also present.
The Chief Minister enquired about the weather conditions in Jashpur with the people sitting in Janpad Panchayat office.
Singh expressed his satisfaction that the officers and employees of all the departments are working hard.
He suspended an Energy Department Officer of Gram Panchayat Salhekera for erratic power supply, defects in transformer and inflated electricity bills.
A resident Sitabai informed the Chief Minister that they had collected donations and installed transformer themselves.
Singh said it is disappointing that the villagers collected donations to install transformer.
The Chief Minister assured the Jashpur residents that electricity will be provided to 90, 000 houses in eight months' period. The habitats also will be given electricity.
Resident of village panchayat Saarudih, Urmila Ekka requested the Chief Minister to direct the panchayat officials to release the long-pending arrears of 'Swachh Bharat Mission' projects.
The Sarpanch informed the Chief Minister that 51 toilets had been built and they are using for the past six months. About Rs 14 lakh had been paid and the rest had not been released.
The Sarpanch said that Rs 83 crore had been sanctioned under the 'Swachh Bharat Mission' for Jashpur district.
A total of 1.20 lakh toilets had been built till date.
The zilla panchayat officials informed the Chief Minister that Rs 40 crore still is required.
Singh instructed the officials to release Rs 20 crore within one day.
The Chief Minister then spoke to residents of Manora Janpad Panchayat.
Resident of gram Panchayat Kharsota Shyamlal Bhagat complained regarding the havoc created by wild elephants.
Singh enquired regarding the location of tuskers. Fifteen tuskers are roaming around at a distance of two kilometers.
Lachhuram resident of gram panchayat Surjula complained about the lack of electricity in the area.
The Chief Minister assured him that the village will be provided with electricity in a month's time.
Singh assured Annati Bai resident of gram panchayat Chadia that she will be provided with modern medical treatment for her heart ailment in the capital.
Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand instructed the SDM to make arrangements for the patient to be shifted to the capital.
Singh said that Secretary of the Energy Department and senior officials will visit Jashpur and redress the problems regarding electricity supply.
