President Trump ‘ran over Steve Bannon with a TANK and then reversed’ in blistering attack
DONALD Trump “ran over” former chief strategist Steve Bannon with a “tank” on the White House lawn, claims Republican veteran Ed Rollins.

Bannon was hit with an onslaught from President Trump after experts from a book revealed he had turned on his former ally suggesting his campaign’s Russia links were “treasonous”.
Veteran Republican strategist Ed Rollins: “Bannon was shot on the South Lawn and run over by a tank and the president shifted into gear and ran over him again.
“I’ve never seen anybody blown up like he was.”

After Trump saw the news of Bannon’s attack he appeared on the White House lawn to cut his former advisor down to size.
He said: “Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my presidency.
“When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind.

“He spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well.”
An excerpt from a book by US journalist Michael Wolff exposed insults from Bannon aimed at the Commander in Chief.
Meetings between the President’s son Donald Trump Jnr, senior advisor Jared Kushner and a Russian lawyer in New York were branded “treasonous,” “stupid” and “unpatriotic” according to the book.
The President reportedly responded furiously to these claims as well as the suggestion that his political understanding was limited.
Bannon reportedly said: “He gets what gets.”
In his blistering attack Trump said: "Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn't as easy as I make it look.
“Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country.
“Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans.
“Steve doesn't represent my base - he's only in it for himself.”
The pair had previously been allies, with Bannon credited as helping President Trump defeat Hillary Clinton before their relationship became strained after they entered the White House.
