Bee Shore, 87, of Cave Creek, passed away on Dec. 29. Originally from Chicago, she was the daughter of Bluma and Nathan Bernsten. Known for her wit and warmth of character, she spent many years working in hospital emergency rooms and admissions, comforting patients and families. She wrote and spoke with great humor and was active in several synagogues and helped to start two. An animal lover, she had pets and rescued animals that were treated as children, the latest being her cat, Sheba. She loved and was devoted to her late husband of 58 years, Al. She often spoke of her philosophy: “Laughing is better than crying.” Bee Shore was a woman of honor and integrity. She is survived by loving children, Diane (Rick) Belanger, Steve Shore, Judy Shore, and grandson Bryan Belanger. Services took place at noon on Jan. 3, at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. We miss you and will cherish you always Mom. You are at peace. You’ve earned your rest. Contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans or AZ Humane Society.
