NEW DELHI: A day before the pronouncement of quantum of punishment for former Bihar CM and RJD chief Lalu Prasad by special CBI court in Ranchi tomorrow, all eyes are now on the leader of opposition in the state assembly and Lalu's youngest son Tejashwi Yadav who is all set to face fresh political challenges in Lalu's absence.
While RJD chief Lalu's legal team is busy in working out future course of action in the second fodder scam case in which Lalu was convicted recently and subsequently sent to Ranchi jail, Tejashwi has already started focusing on his future political battle to run his party's show in Bihar.
Sources said Tejashwi would read a letter written by his father Lalu at the January 6 meeting of his party leaders. "Laluji has handed over a letter to Tejashwiji before going to jail this time. He would read the letter at the RJD' January 6 meeting," a source close to Tejashwi replied to a query on phone from Patna.
According to him, RJD chief has appealed to the party workers to continue the battle for the welfare of poor people in the letter.
Lalu's appeal, which would be communicated to the party leaders through Tejashwi at the RJD's January 6 meeting, may help Tejashwi further strengthen his own position within the organisation.
