EASTPOINT — Bay got 24 points each from Jeremiah Hudson and Zamuel Compere to narrowly defeat Franklin County 56-53 in boys basketball action Tuesday night. With the victory, the Tornadoes improve to 3-7 on the season, while the Seahawks drop to 3-7.

Bay will next go to Rutherford to take on the Rams on Friday in District 1-6A action, while Franklin County will be at Port St. Joe on Friday for a District 4-1A contest.

Rutherford 78, Holmes County 35

SPRINGFIELD — The Rams improved to 8-5 on the season with the victory, while the Blue Devils fell to 4-4. Rutherford next plays host to Bay on Friday. Holmes County is home for Vernon on Friday.

Lorenzo Ferrell led Rutherford with 17 points, followed by Justin Martin with 14, Tony Jackson with 10, and Kyle Spani with seven.
