SIOUX CITY | The Betty Strong Encounter Center will host “Music to Chase Away the Winter Blues” with Sioux City musicians Mike Langley, Jack Langley, Jonas Langley and Walter Peterson at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Admission will be free; a reception will follow.

The audience will be treated to an hour of cozy favorites, including: “You Are My Sunshine," “Put Another Log On the Fire" and "Winterwood."

Father and son singers/songwriters Jack and Mike Langley have been performing together onstage for almost 40 years, traveling from Sioux City to Nashville to Vienna and back. Mike’s son Jonas recently joined his dad and grandfather as percussionist.

Peterson describes himself as an “old time” music and folklore enthusiast, Lewis and Clark-period re-enactor, “penny-farthing cyclist” and multi-instrumentalist folk singer.
