Frigid temps remain, wind chill advisory issued


A new wind chills advisory that goes into effect 1 a.m. Thursday through 11 a.m. Saturday for the following counties:  Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, Union (IN) and Wayne (IN)

DETAILED FORECAST

This evening/overnight: Cloudy and cold with temperatures falling through the teens. A few flurries or a passing snow shower possible into the night. Any isolated burst of snow could leave a light coating, but nothing more than that is expected. Temperatures will drop into the lower single digits tonight with wind chills below -10 possible.

Thursday: Another dangerously cold morning with sub-zero wind chills. Mostly cloudy with a few flurries or snow showers possible, mainly into the evening. Highs for the day only expected to reach into the lower teens. Wind chills may hold below zero all day long. Blustery with winds that may gusts as high as 25mph in the afternoon. Some breaks in the clouds Thursday night and frigid with temperatures below zero and wind chills ranging between -10 to -20.

Friday: Frigid morning with wind chills -10 to -20. Partly sunny for the afternoon with temperatures struggling to climb through the single digits. Wind chills will remain below zero all day.

Saturday: Another bitter morning with wind chills -10 to -20. Mostly sunny skies expected for the afternoon with highs in the lower teens.

Sunday: Not as cold, but the chance for rain and snow will develop into the evening. Most of the day will remain dry with increasing clouds. Highs expected into the lower 30s. 

Monday: Cloudy with the chance of rain and snow, mainly early in the day. Temperatures ranging in the 30s through the day.
