Everett Alan Childs, age 68, Olathe, KS, passed away suddenly January 3, 2018, at home. Everett was born June 22, 1949, in Hutchinson, KS the oldest of six children. He attended Wichita State University, and graduated with a degree in music education.
On May 22, 1971, he married Beth Bradshaw. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt, and enjoyed a long career working in the sporting goods industry on a national level.
He is survived by: his wife, Beth; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Jessica (Oak Park, IL); grandchildren, Lafayette, Evelyn, and Hazel; and daughter, Piper (Olathe, KS).
A memorial service is set for 2 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Old Mission United Methodist Church, 5519 State Park Road, Fairway, Kansas 66205.
