SATKHIRA: A union parishad chairman from Debhata upazila of Satkhira was flown to Dhaka after he sustained bullet injuries fired by some miscreants Tuesday night (January 2).
The helicopter carrying Faruq Hossain Ratan, Chairman of Sakhipur union parishad also organizing secretary of Debhata upazila unit Awami League, left Satkhira stadium at around 1:00pm Wednesday (January 3).
Satkhira District Unit Awami League Joint Secretary Abu Ahmad told Banglanews that the physicians at Satkhira Sadar Hospital extracted the bullet from Ratan’s body at the night. He is being taken to Dhaka for further treatment.
However, Ratan received bullet in his chest as unidentified miscreants opened fire to him at Sokhipur, at around 9 at the night. He was rushed to Debhata Health Complex and later shifted to Debhata Sadar Hospital.
