RAJBARI: A schoolboy surrendered to police after hacking his girlfriend and her sister with a sharp weapon at Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari on Tuesday night (January 02).
The schoolboy was identified as Alauddin Sarkar, 16, son of Muktar Sardar of Magura village under Baliakandi upazila in Rajbari. His lover is Jamela Khatun alias Asia, 16, and her younger sister Hasna Hena, 15, are inhabitants of the same village.
The three are students of Natapara High School of Jamalpur union.
Alauddin Sarkar told Banglanews that he attacked the girls in their residence at about 9:00 pm on Tuesday (January 02) following annoyance.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baliakandi police station Hasina Begum told Banglanews that Alauddin and Asia had love affair for long. He hacked Asia due to infidelity in the relationship also Asia’s sister who came her assistance. Later, he surrendered to police.
Asia and her sister were admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. Asia is in critical condition.
A case was filed against Alauddin in Baliakandi police station on Wednesday (January 03).
