EastEnders 'skips a two days' in 'missed episode' fiasco

EASTENDERS fans are seriously confused after last night's episode.

Audiences were treated to an hour-long special which followed the aftermath of the New Year's Day heist.

revealed Mick Carter survived being shot by his son's friend Callum Highway but the soap quickly sinked into a 'time warp.'

Fans couldn't keep up with the speed of the events – especially when time skipped by two days.

It was revealed that New Year's Day was finally over when Mick returned to the pub with his wounded arm in a sling.

He moaned: "I've spent 40 hours in that bed and it's doing my nut in."

His mum Shirley Carter then waltzed in and added: "In case you've forgotten, I took a bullet out of my son two days ago."

But audiences struggled to piece together the timeline of events and took to Twitter while scratching their heads.

One person tweeted: "Hang on... Mick said he was in bed for 40 hours? Did we miss a day?"

"How can you skip two days? I'm so confuddled," questioned one.

A fifth slammed: "What was the heist for? Why did they skip like a week? Where is Tanya? Why did they ignore Lauren and Abi for a week? Who is that Irish woman? And where does Mel and her son fit into this?"

It wasn't just the fast-forward that had tongues wagging though.

Callum stuffed a tampon up his nose to stop a nose bleed – and naturally audiences had a lot to say.

Looks like the soap can't catch a break this year.
