OPPO, the Chinese consumer electronics firm unveiled its VOOC charging feature back in 2014. Since then many of the OPPO smartphones featured the company's impressive fastcharging technology. Similar to OnePlus's dash charging, the VOOC charging allowed the users to charge their devices to almost 80 % within half an hour. The VOOC charging is supported by OPPO R11, R11 S, Oppo F3+, R9+, R9 Plus, R7Plus, R7S , OPPO Find 7 and Find 7A.
According to some reports, the next OPPO flagship device will feature improved VOOC charging. Named as Super VOOC charging, it will make it possible to charge a smartphone from zero to 100 % within 15 minutes. In this era of fast living this is something which is much needed by smartphone owners. OPPO's new fast charging technology can bring a big change in smartphone usage patterns.
It is being reported that OPPO's next launch might be Find 9 smartphone, which will feature the Super VOOC Charging. As mentioned earlier the Super VOOC charge will allow users to fully charge OPPO Find 9's battery within 15 minutes.
As per reports, the 4x times faster super VOOC charging features five layers of protection to make the device safe while charging with high voltage power. The features include built in Voltage tester in the adaptor along with voltage test and fuse built in the smartphone.
The Super VOOC charging has replaced the traditional voltage reducing circuit with MCU circuit making the devices safe from overheating while charging.
This seems pretty interesting and useful, but how much will it affect the overall battery life of the handsets in longer run is something to find out.
