Crime Branch nabs minor vehicle-lifter in Bhopal

Crime branch police have nabbed one minor vehicle lifter and two persons who bought two-wheelers and recovered three two-wheelers worth Rs 1.5 lakh.

According to the police, acting on a tip off a man with a bike without registration number was nabbed from Budhwara area and when he was asked regarding the documents of the bike he failed to provide the documents and confessed purchase of the bike from a youth.

The nabbed accused was identified as Mohammad Mustaq (27) of Talaiya and confessed that he has bought a bike from a youth at Rs 6000 and based on the details the youth was nabbed and was found minor. The bike was stolen from Habibganj area few months ago.

During the investigation the minor confessed that he had one scooter which was stolen from Shahjehanabad area and a motorbike from 10 no stop which was sold to Mohammad Shakeel at Rs 1000 around a year ago.

Based on the details Mohammad Shakeel was searched and nabbed who confessed purchasing the bike without proper documents from the accused. 

The police registered a case under section 41 of the CrPC and 379 and 411 of the IPC.  The accused would be questioned regarding other crimes.

During the investigation police found that the minor accused has been detained by Govindpura police in connection of a robbery case and later handed over to Habibganj police for further investigation.

Police said that the number of other vehicles stolen by the minor accused would be investigated.
