The Belgian equalised from the spot in a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Emirates after going down in the box under a challenge from Hector Bellerin.

The 26-year-old appeared to go to ground easily in the second-half, shortly after Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere avoided a second booking for simulation.

But Hazard has dismissed suggestions he dived and insists his side should have won the game.

"We don't need a replay, it was a penalty,” he told Sky Sports.

“Petr (Cech) is a great goalkeeper, it is always hard to score against him but I put the ball in the net and that was the most important thing.

"I think we should won this game because of the chances we had."

Wilshere had opened the scoring but Antonio Conte’s side fought back and Marcos Alonso looked to have won it late on before a stoppage-time strike from Bellerin shared the spoils.

Blues striker Alvaro Morata missed a number of chances, including an opportunity right at the death, and Hazard admits the Spaniard should have won Chelsea the match.

He added: "It was a 50-50 match, both teams played a really good game.

“Maybe we should have scored more, we missed some chances.

“The last shot should have been a goal. We are happy though."

Both sides are in FA Cup action against Championship sides this weekend, as Chelsea travel to Norwich while Arsenal visit Nottingham Forest.
