Taco Bell Is Adding French Fries to the Menu to Ruin Your New Year's Resolutions

They're called Nacho Fries because they're not yours...yet.

Taco Bell is about to make thousands of fry lovers' dreams come true with its new addition to the menu: Nacho fries.

After cryptically replying to Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus's lament on Twitter that choosing between Taco Bell and its competitor, Del Taco, is a real "Sophie's Choice of fast food," (citing that he liked Taco Bell's food better but liked getting fries at the latter), many wondered if Taco Bell would start selling fries too. Spud-stuffed burritos appeared as a test in West Virginia stores not long after, which seemed to confirm the theory. Today, Taco Bell put the rumors to rest, officially announcing the new product.

Nacho Fries start at $1 and come with a side of the brand's bright orange cheese sauce. They can be upgraded to a supreme or Bell Grande status (for $2.49 and $3.49, respectively), and topped with beef, sour cream, and pico de gallo. And, of course, more cheese.

The side will hit stores everywhere on Thursday, Jan. 25, but they won't stay on menus forever. In a press release, Taco Bell has said they're available for a "limited time," but haven't specified just how limited that frame is. On the plus side, anyone following an all-carb diet may have something to finally eat at Taco Bell.
