ITV News taken off air as building evacuated in fire emergency

ITV News fans were baffled as the building was evacuated on air.

ITV News suffered a gaffe during a segment on US President Donald Trump tonight.

As the camera cut back to the studio, Tom Bradby looked very awkward as he addressed the fire alarm in the background.

It had been going off in the studios before the video segment began, and clearly was a problem for the crew.

Tom told viewers: "We have a fire alarm, you could probably tell that before we went into that report but we still have one here.

"We're not quite sure what to do about this, so we are really sorry but we have to evacuate the building.

"Unfortunately these things happen and we have no choice.

"We'll try and bring you the rest of the news if we can."
