LAKELAND — About 128 troops of the 3rd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery Regiment of the Florida National Guard will deploy Sunday.

A departure ceremony will take place at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, but the time is yet to be determined. Gov. Rick Scott is expected to attend, and the public is invited. The unit is based in Plant City but includes many members from Polk County.
