Paris Regional Medical Center welcomed the first baby of the 2018 on Monday with the birth of Savannah Ximena Mendez, daughter of Sara Mendez and her husband Jose of Clarksville, Texas.
At eight pounds, 1 ounce, and 19 and one half inches, Savannah was born at 11:04 a.m. on Jan. 1.
