EastEnders 2018 cast: Mick Carter discovers dead body | Daily Star

EastEnders viewers blast 'sick' soap as it gets gatecrashed by dead body

THE grand EastEnders heist came to end after weeks of planning – but of course, it didn't quite go to plan.

Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin) rallied Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) and Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood) to carry out an elaborate plot to rob a van.

Obviously, with the EastEnders cast involved it didn't quite run smoothly.

Mick ended up getting shot in the arm and Aidan was seconds away from killing poor Vincent.

It turns out that Aidan wanted revenge against Vincent the whole time, after he snitched on his brother Connor during a drugs plot back in 2010 for a lighter sentence.

Connor was sent to prison and ultimately ended up taking his own life, and Aidan blamed Vincent for his death.

Tonight saw the gang of crooks reunite at Billy Mitchell's (Perry Fenwick) funeral parlour to finally collect their promised cash.

The secret stash was stored inside a coffin, but instead of notes, the gang were greeted by the body of a dead woman tumbling out of the casket.

RIDICULOUS: What happened to the cash?

A third viewer snapped: "This has got to be one of the worst story lines I have ever seen. It’s so bad it’s almost like watching a comedy sketch show of a soap. Awful writing."

And a fourth threatened: "I might stop watching #EastEnders – it has become a bit of a joke really!"

EastEnders continues tomorrow night at 7.30pm on BBC1.
