CM Jan Samvad review exposes delays

Weekly review of the complaints coming at CM Jan Sanvad centre brought to lightthe  delay in busting the case of a murder happened three years ago. Deputy Secretary in the CM Secretariat Ashok Kumar Khaitan, who reviewed total 16 matters on Tuesday, directed officials to expedite the pending cases.

Deepa Kumari of Giridih was killed three years ago, but no progress could be made so far in this case. AIG to the DGP Shams Tabrez expressing displeasure over the pace sought response from the DSP and directed the SP for immediate review and action. 

Also, the death of Mahadeo Rajwar of Gobindpur of Dhanbad due to lightening and subsequent last rites happening without conducting postmortem came for the review. To this the CO said that postmortem report has been testified. Khaitan told him to send the report soon so than compensation to the aggrieved family can be paid.

Another case of Mahuadarn of Latehar related to pending MGNREGA wage for last two years came for review to which the official said that if the work has taken place then the payment would to be made. Nodal officer said that the payment is on hold in the want of the fund and would be released as soon as the money is available.

Not building of 18 toilets at Bokaro’s Jaridih even after two years was also on the agenda for which the money has also been withdrawn illegally. Allegation of embezzlement of fund is on Rozgar Sevak but the district team has not given report so far. The Deputy Secretary passed direction to submit status report within one month. A similar case was about withdrawal of Rs 10 lakh meant for renovation of ponds at Lohardaga. Nodal officer has been told to submit the report within three days to the Agriculture Department and action would be initiated against the Junior Engineer. 

A case of non-issuance of license to a ration dealer of West Singhbum’s Khuntpani even after more than two years came for review. No other dealer in the area has been given the license which is causing great deal of difficulty to the villages. The Deputy Secretary said that un-necessary delay is happening in this case and directed the dealer to contact the SDO.

Abduction of Yudhisthir Mandal, 16, of Dumka’s Jarmundi taken place five months ago also got reviewed along with two years old murder case of Suresh Yadav of Giridih. Nodal officials in both the cases have been told to arrest the absconding accused soon.

Non payment of crop insurance benefits against five acre of land at Palamu even after two years caught the attention of the officer who, holding Patan block office responsible, gave one week time for proper probe. An incident of treatment given under open sky to a patient at Itkhori of Chatra was also reviewed.
