This Morning's 'stupid' reporter risks being dragged into sea

THIS Morning viewers blasted their latest weather report.

News correspondent Katy Rickitt battled with the weather when she showed affects of Storm Eleanor.

The This Morning reporter was live from Blackpool where an amber warning has been put in place.

Meanwhile, presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were in the warmth of the ITV studios.

Eamonn said: "Hopefully wherever you are, you're cosy, you are cuddled up, you're watching us on the telly, you're safe and sound."

The duo then went live to Katy where Eamonn warned: "Watch out for those waves."

Katy – who was battling strong gusts on the seafront - admitted: "I think it's actually got worse. This is the worst it's been, the sea is really kicking off now."

She then walked towards the water while talking about a woman who got hit by a freak wave.

Shocked audiences flooded Twitter in disbelief of Katy's whether update.

One person asked: "Why do they always put reporters in the worse weather?"

"How ridiculous putting the poor weather girl in front of those waves, yet telling everyone else to stay away because it's dangerous," slammed another.

A third blasted: "That woman is stupid standing so close to the waves. Stupid people reporting so close to water when it so unpredictable. Would it be worth your life if them waves took you?"
