Host Hoda Kotb was announced as the new co-anchor for NBC News “Today” on Tuesday, replacing former co-host Matt Lauer several weeks after he was fired for inappropriate sexual behavior.
Kotb and Savannah Guthrie are now the first pair of women to host the show, along with weatherman Al Roker and Orange Room host Carson Daly.
