PM, CM likely to visit Greater Noida on January 12

NOIDA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are likely to visit Greater Noida on January 12 for National Youth Festival. BN Singh, district magistrate, on Wednesday held a meeting with officials and discussed about preparations for the event.

Singh said that the PM and the CM are likely to attend the programme scheduled in Gautam Buddha University. Around 5000 students from across the country would participate in the programme.


National Youth Festival is an annual gathering of youth where various activities including competitive ones are held. It is organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India to commemorate the birth anniversary of youth icon Swami Vivekananda, in collaboration with one of the State Governments from 12 to 16 January every year.


Prabhat Kumar, Commissioner Meerut Zone, will visit the programme venue on Saturday to oversee the preparations. The police officials have already started preparations for the VIP movement. They are also planning on elaborate arrangements, routes and the place for helipad.


On December 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accompanied by CM Yogi Adityanath, had inaugurated Magenta Line metro network at Botanical Garden metro station.
