The former Coronation Street actress was the final female to enter the Borehamwood bungalow, following the likes of Ann Widdecombe, 70, and Ashley James, 30. 

Willis was rightly awe-struck by Barrie’s addition to the Celebrity Big Brother line-up and commended the star for enduring the gruelling reality show at 82. 

What’s more, she congratulated Barrie for being the “oldest ever celebrity housemate”. 

However viewers were quick to correct Willis, 41, who seemingly forgot about Jackie Stallone - 83 when she entered the house in 2005 - and Lionel Blair, who was 85 when he dressed up in PVC bondage gear in 2013. 

Later in the night, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, Willis had audiences in stitches with a hilarious innuendo. 

The presenter was on the spin-off show chatting to host Rylan Clark-Neal, 29, after the launch of the first all-female house.

Last night’s launch was a huge hit with fans who have tipped the girl power gaggle of housemates as the best line-up ever. 

The eight leading ladies will enjoy three nights in their man-free abode before the gents arrive on Friday night. 

Liverpool F.C. player and rapper John Barnes, 54, is the first male Celebrity Big Brother housemate to be confirmed for the 2018 series.
