The 24-year-old is quickly becoming one of the most coveted players in the Bundesliga with an incredible 10 assists to his name already this season.

As a result the star is reported to be on the radar of both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.

But while the German insists he in no rush to leave the Augsburg Arena, he has spoken of his fondness of the English top flight.

“Since I was a kid, I have dreamed of playing abroad,” Max told Sport Bild.

“I think the English league would go well with my straightforward style on the pitch. But other clubs can be attractive.

“That is a topic for the future, I have a contract with FC Augsburg.

“In football you can never rule out anything, but I am firmly convinced that I will play in the second half for the FCA.”

Klopp appears to be losing faith in Alberto Moreno at Liverpool and Max could be an ideal replacement for the struggling defender.

There is no indication that Man City will move for a left-back in January.

But with Benjamin Mendy out for most of the season it leaves Guardiola with just Fabian Delph so the City boss could explore the possibility before the winter window shuts.

Max is currently under contract with the German outfit until 2022.

Augsburg sit ninth in the Bundesliga at the midway stage of the season and host struggling Hamburg in their first game back after the winter break next weekend.
