DUBAI, 3rd January, 2018 (WAM) -- The Air Traffic Control Forum 2018 will run in Dubai on May 7-9 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group. The event will be co-located with Airport Show, the world's largest annual airport exhibition.

The ATC Forum brings together over 1,000 Air Traffic Control/Air Traffic Management professionals under one roof for 3 days, helping aviation professionals keep up-to-date with industry developments and share best practice, information, knowledge, ideas and expertise, said Mohammed Abdulla Ahli, Director-General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of Dubai Air Navigation Services.

The forum enables the international air traffic management community and associated stakeholders to meet annually and focus on the challenges and opportunities in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, he added, noting that delays in the air traffic control in 2015 cost the Middle East region to the tune of US$ 9.1 billion.
