Stocks are closing higher on Wall Street and pushing major U.S. indexes to more record highs.
Technology companies were once again the main driver of the gains Wednesday.
Chipmaker Nvidia rose 6.6 percent and business software maker Oracle increased 2.3 percent.
Health care and energy stocks also did well.
Troubled energy company Scana soared after agreeing to be acquired by Dominion Energy.
MoneyGram International plunged 9 percent after U.S. regulators opposed the purchase of the company by a firm controlled by Chinese billionaire Jack Ma.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 17 points, or 0.6 percent, to 2,713.
The Dow Jones industrial average increased 98 points, or 0.4 percent, to 24,922. The Nasdaq climbed 58 points, or 0.8 percent, to 7,065.

The gains in midday trading Wednesday came a day after the Nasdaq composite blew past the 7,000-point milestone for the first time.
Chipmaker Nvidia rose 4.6 percent and business software maker Oracle increased 2.9 percent.
MoneyGram International plunged 10 percent after Chinese billionaire Jack Ma dropped his bid to buy the money transfer company.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 11 points, or 0.4 percent, to 2,707.
The Dow Jones industrial average increased 38 points, or 0.2 percent, to 24,863. The Nasdaq climbed 45 points, or 0.6 percent, to 7,052.
Bond prices rose. The yield on the 10-year Treasury fell to 2.44 percent.
