JnU students scuffle on campus

Jagannath university students of two rival groups locked into a scuffle on the campus this morning.

Two students -- Swapon and Shohan -- suffered injuries during the incident and were taken to local hospitals, eyewitnesses told The Daily Star.

The chase and counter-chase between the rival groups started around 8:30am, which continued till 1:00 pm, said Mushiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.

“The situation is now under control” the OC said in the afternoon. But he could not mention the reason behind the scuffle.
