A Wind Chill Watch has been issued for all of Western New York beginning Thursday night and lasting through Saturday afternoon.
Wind chills are expected to drop to between 10 and 25 below zero with the coldest of the air arriving on Friday. This kind of cold can cause frostbite to set in on exposed skin in under 30 minutes.
Buffalo is also expecting three sub-zero mornings in a row which is fairly rare. There is some light at the end of the tunnel with temperatures warming back into the 20s by Sunday 30s however Monday bring the chance for more widespread snow.
