Youth killed, 2 injured in separate road mishaps

One person killed and two others were seriously injured in two separate road mishaps  in Bistupur police station area on Tuesday morning.

In one mishap, a 19-year-old youth died after falling down from a bike on Kharkai Link Road. In  the other accident, two teen-aged youths were seriously injured as the bike they were riding on hit a car near the  Red Cross  Bhavan on the Subernarekha Link Road in Bistupur.

The youths identified as Md Rahmat and Md Sarfuddin, both residents of Azadnagar in Mango, have been admitted at the MGM Medical College Hospital.

Rohit Parmanik (19) who was a resident of Kandra in adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan was riding pillion on his father Santosh Parmanik's bike.

But, tragedy struck while the father-son were passing through Kharkai Link Road, the son fell down on the road and got injured.  Soon the father rushed him to Tata Main Hospital, where the doctors on emergency duty declared him as brought dead.

There was no injury on Rohit's body. The doctors said the youth might have internal head injury and as he was already suffering from fever.

The police have seized the body and sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem.In another incident, two teen-aged youths  were injured as the bike they were riding in a high speed hit a car head-on near the Red Cross building.
