New Zealand completed a clean sweep over West Indies by clinching the third T20 by 119 runs. It completed a 2-0 series win for the Kiwis in T20s to go after the 2-0 Test win and 3-0 in the ODIs. Colin Munro scored a whirlwind 104 run knock and saw support from Martin Guptill at the top of the order. Their rapidfire knock too New Zealand to 243/5 – which was always going to be a massive ask. It became all the more difficult with West Indies losing first wicket on the first ball and two wickets for one run – including that of Chris Gayle. Tim Southee’s two-wicket start quashed all hopes that West Indies could have had. Andre Fletcher provided some resistance from West Indies but Ish Sodhi removed him to end all chances. Thereafter, it was a formality – much like the tour. It sets up nicely for New Zealand vs Pakistan a few weeks from now.
