THRALL, Texas (AP) — Two people in Central Texas have been shot and killed in what authorities are calling a suspected murder-suicide.
Williamson County deputies say the shootings occurred early Wednesday at a home in a rural area of the county about 40 miles (64.37 kilometers) northeast of Austin.
Sheriff Robert Chody says it appears a domestic disturbance led to the deaths. The victims have been identified as 48-year-old Richard Lee DeHart and 42-year-old Ellen Rachelle DeHart. She was found with a single gunshot wound. He is believed to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities say other family members were at the home but did not see the shootings.
