HARRY KANE didn't start against Swansea because he was struggling with a cold.

That's according to Match of the Day host Gaby Roslin, who dissected Tottenham's 2-0 win over the Swans tonight.

Fernando Llorente replaced Kane up front and netted against his old club before Kane came off the bench to help wrap up the win.

He played in Dele Alli for Spurs' second to seal the three points at the Liberty Stadium.

Roslin said: "It was Harry Kane with a cold. He didn't start because he's had the sniffles - haven't we all had it."

Pundit Matt Upson, appearing with Roslin on the show, went on to lord the striker.

He said: "The second goal from Spurs was outstanding. You find Kane in this area wide of the pitch.

"To pick out a pass like that, and the touch from Alli, was perfect. He just cushioned it into his path.

"He gets a little bit of luck with the rebound off the keeper but take nothing away from the quality of the link-up.

"The pass and the touch from Alli was first class."
