Five wrestlers will be added to the list weekly through the start of the state tournament in March. Using past accomplishments -- especially performance in the state tournament -- career records and significant results over the remainder of the season, NJ.com wrestling writers Pat Lanni, Joe Zedalis and Bill Evans will rank the top, pound-for-pound wrestlers in the state. 10-Robert Howard, Bergen Catholic, 120
Howard came into high school with high expectations and lived up to them as he reached the 113-pound final as a freshman. He continued his success into the offseason by winning a UWW Cadet National title and will try to parlay that success into a title run in 2018.

9-Rob Kanniard, Wall, 160
The junior exploded onto the state scene last season when he finished fourth in the state at 152 pounds and finished a stellar season with a 40-3 record. Over the summer, Kanniard was a Super 32 champion. Relentless and a terror on his feet, Kanniard is already 12-0 this season with individual titles at both the Colt Classic and Mustang Classic to his credit.
