ROCKFORD — Sounds of Goods News will host the Young Eagles Success Club’s 12th annual Let it Shine Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration at noon Jan. 15 at First Free Rockford, 2223 N. Mulford Road.
The VIP awards reception will begin at noon Illinois Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti will present the keynote message. Award recipients will include Gloria Cardenas Cudia and George Buss.
The free community program will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. The YES choir, Dorothy Paige-Turner, the Rockford Area Arts Council Choraleers, the Ballet Folklorico dancers and the Move for God Korean praise dancers will perform.
