Early voting on the City of Alice's Special Election begins on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
The special election was called by the Texas governor for Jan. 20 to fill two vacancies after Councilwomen Elida Garza and Yolanda Sosa Moran were recalled from their seats.
Candidates who have filed for City Place 2 are Ron Burke, former councilman, Elida Garza, who was recalled in Nov. 7 election and Tony Sexton.
City Place 4 candidates are Robert Ray Molina and Mauricio Garza II.
Winners of each place will finish the unexpired term of Elida Garza and Yolanda Sosa Moran.
Early Voting for the city election continues until Jan. 16 at Jim Wells County Courthouse on 200 N. Almond St. No early voting on the 15th, courthouse closed.
