Ghanaian TV licence courts begin sitting January 4th

Ghanaian Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo has granted a request by state broadcaster Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), to establish a special court to deal with people who fail to pay their television licence fees, reports Ghanaweb. The courts, located in the regions, are to sit every Thursday with effect from 04 January until otherwise directed. The time for the court sitting is 08:30 hrs to 16:00 hrs.
