(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) The bicycle ambulance of Dubai Ambulance will expand its services to more areas, according to an official.

Khalifa Al Drai, executive director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), said the service continues to quickly respond to urgent incidents and emergencies for pregnant ladies and children younger than 11 years old. He explained that the DCAS received good feedback about the service, which is available for women and aims at protecting their privacy in accordance with the Arabic culture and traditions.

Al Drai said that the initiative is part of improving the DCAS services and to meet the necessary needs of people in crowded places. He emphasised that the DCAS is monitoring the people's needs by carefully reading the ambulances' reports, which aim at following the development of all Dubai institutions.
